I Had a Terrible Cough and Sore Throat!

Cracker Backa Past

Well he thought he had a lot of friends,
To share his good fortune.
But he moaned to much in the SS days,
and now he aint' got no credibility.

For too many years he wasted his beers
on a breed of I'll buy you one back one day.
And it wasn't long before he noticed
that really your on your own.

Cracker backa past the good times never last,
When the money stops so do they.

When you move away you notice,
Out of sight and out of mind.
There's no-one left who want's to know
how you are doing,
Until you go home and back to the local pub
and there you'll find a few inquisitive friends,
waiting for a beer.

Cracker backa past the good times never last,
When the money stops so do they.

But when your wife leaves you,
Or when you're on your own,
You won't be able to handle the pain,
Of being only one.
When you've got arthritis
and can't walk down the road.
Then you'll be aware of the lonely man's load.

Cracker backa past the good times never last,
When the money stops so do they.

To be alone early on in this torturing life,
Means that you my friend will appreciate a wife and a life.
You won't go seekin' another after a few years of marriage,
You'll be so happy that your life can't be damaged.
